Just Saying Hello...
Just Saying Hello!!!
Today’s card is gorgeous in green. But could be adapted to be made with any
colour range you like.
It is a simple stamped card, that I stepped up with layers
and a raised sentiment.
Here is the recipe.
From Just Jade cardstock I cut a card base to be ½ of an A4
sheet and one piece to be 9.6cm x 14cm.
From Black Cardstock I cut 2 pieces at 10cm x 14.4cm. one
for front of card and one for insert.
From Whisper white I cut 1 piece to be 9.6cm x 14cm for
insert and 1 piece to be 9.2cm x 13.6cm for the front of the card. I also used Whisper white to cut my sentiment
piece from the dies in the Tasteful Touches set.
I used the textural stamps from the Tasteful Touches stamp
set to stamp the front of the card. I
stamped off twice on scrap paper then the third stamping went on my card
front. I used Pretty Peacock, Garden
Green and Pear Pizzazz. Mix up your
stamping, making sure to turn the stamp or your paper to give stamping a less
ordered look. The sentiment is also from the same stamp set, I stamped it in
Pretty Peacock at full strength. (no stamping off)
I used a piece of the amazing Just Jade ribbon to wrap
around the top layer of my card front, it was aprox 12 cm, this gave plenty of
ribbon to fold under and attach with tear and tape.
For the card front I layered a piece of black cardstock with
the just jade layer and attached these to the card front. I popped the top stamped layer on
dimensionals and attached this to the front of the card, then attached the
sentiment piece with dimensionals to the front of the card just overlapping the
ribbon.
For the insert I layered the black cardstock and the whisper
white insert piece and attached these to the middle of the card. I stamped my sentiment using Pretty Peacock.
I used a sentiment I found in the Peaceful Moments stamp set.
I then took a 2cm x 14cm strip of DSP from the Forever
Greenery set. (I used the striped one as
it matched with the colours I had used on the front of my card.) I used the Lovely Labels pick a punch to trim
the ends so that they were softer. I
attached this under my sentiment on the inside of the card.
I finished the card off with a couple of the new In Colour
Enamel Dots that I popped on the front sentiment piece.
Don’t forget the envelope, it is a window to show what’s to
come. I stamped my envelope using the
feather stamp from the tasteful touches stamp set. I again stamped off twice.
