Forever Fern Bundle..... Just Because



Hello Lovelies,
  Feeling all sorts of love with this new card today.
Made using the Forever Fern Stamp set and the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper from the new Annual  Catalogue, which will be available to order from the 3rd June. This is an amazing set and sure to be a favourite of many.   Let me know if you would like to be able to order the set earlier. This is a multilayered card that I just had to make after watching Pootles do a similar card.

The card base is Just Jade layered with Black cardstock,topped off with a layer of the DSP from the Forever Greenery papers. As seen below there are 2 more layers in the middle of the card decorated with DSP and stamped layers using the Forever Fern stamp set, with the final layer having a sentiment that just makes me smile.

With so many beautiful prints I couldn't choose just 1, so I teamed the DSP up with the Pretty Peacock stamp pad and whisper white cardstock for my stamped images.  I used the starburst punch to cut the copper circle for the front and layered whisper white for the sentiment. I stamped some of the greenery from the stamp set and used the Forever Flourishing dies to cut these and some vellum to sit below the sentiment layer.  I have also used some gold thread to add impact behind the layers on the inside of the card.
I think it is a wow card... Don't you agree?

"Supplies"

1. Just Jade card stock  1 piece to be 14.9cm x 21cm. Score at 10.5cm for base, 2 pieces to be 9.6cm x 14.4 for middle layers and 3 pieces to be 7cm x 9cm for bottom layers of stamped images.
2. Black card stock 10cm x 1.4 cm.
3. Designer Series paper  4 pieces to be 9.6cm x 14cm  assorted designs. And 1 piece 29cm x 14.4cm  Score this at 10cm, 12cm 14cm, 16cm and 18cm (this will become your hinge)
4. Whisper white card stock 3 x 6.5cm x 8.5cm ,  a small scrap for sentiment layer and a piece for stamped images. 
5. Brass Foil paper small scrap for layering under your front sentiment. 
6. Velum for cutting some of the fernery from the dies. 
7. You will need The Forever Fern Bundle from the New Annual Catalogue. 
8. I also used some Rhinestones, black ribbon and some gold thread to embellish the card. ​Pretty Peacock stamp pad  to stamp images ,liquid glue, dimensionals  and a die cutting machine.  You could fussy cut images if you do not have access to a cutting machine.

"The HOW TO"

Fold card base and burnish with bone folder. Take the 28cm piece of DSP and burnish at the folds ensuring that you have a 10cm piece to the left,a hill fold, a valley fold, a hill fold and another 10cm piece to the right.  Attach this piece to the inside of the card base making sure to have a small border around the full card base with the folds in the middle of the scored line (this is your hinge).  Next attach the 2 pieces of DSP to the middle layers of card stock,and attach these to the hinges to form pages as shown. Set this aside whilst you work on your sentiment layers. I stamped several foliage images on the larger piece of the whisper white and die cut these along with some of the foliage pieces from the velum. I stamped directly on one of the 3 WW pieces and layered this on one of the smaller Just Jade pieces. For the second page I attached a few die cut pieces to the second WW piece, in an arrangement that suited and attached this layer to another of  the Just Jade pieces, I also stamped the sentiment Hello on this.  I took the third piece of WW and stamped my final greeting and again attached this to the last piece of the Just Jade. Cut the Brass Foil using a shape to compliment your sentiment layer.  Bring back in your card base.  Attach a piece of DSP to the black layer and decorate with foliage , ribbon and sentiment as shown, attach to the card front  I popped my sentiment up on dimensionals to give a little depth.  Add your 3 x Just Jade/WW pieces to the 2 middle and last page of your card as shown.  Oh and don't forget your envelope.  I always add a little something to show the recipient that there is something special inside.
